At the October Inspire Speaker Series, sponsored by the Green Building Alliance, featured speaker Alan Alda spoke about the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University and his interest in science communication. Dr. Emily Kalnicky not only attended the event, but had the opportunity to speak to Mr. Alda about our efforts to help scientist be more effective communicators through our BIA programming and future ideas for program development. Mr. Alda was a gracious and lovely speaker and we are so excited that Emily had the chance to tell him about the work we are doing at Phipps!
